The Kissing Hand by Audrey Penn

We will be reading The Kissing Hand the first day of school. It is a story about Chester Raccoon. Chester is nervous about the first day of school and wants to stay home with his mother. His mother tells him the secret of the kissing hand. She kisses his palm and when he misses her during school, all he has to do is press his hand and remember his mother's love.

I have been making kissing hand cookies and I hope the children enjoy eating them after listening to the sweet story.
